Humanity battles for survival in the wastelands of the post-apocalypse!
We’s lookin’ behind us now, into History Back…
Humans of History Back were fighting the long scores, ‘vading and boomin’ each o’er til the world under the toes withered an’ dithered. Water goes mud, mud to muck, and muck to crackling dust. The All crumbles up, only the strongest ‘n most fearsome escape Mr. Dead. High-scrapers drop to Has Been, and some bodies become all wild ones, fightin’ Mr. Dead, chompers an’ claws. It were full on Pox-Eclipse, and it were the story of us all.
Somespace in them deserts of the wastes spans, there’s a talled in city whats named Bartertown, though maybe not like History Back cities with High-Scrapers an’ care healers and things like them. Human dung heap might be more to the score. In The All, we’s guessing, that’s all there is. Bartertown is runned up and gunned up by the less than ruthful Lady Cray Cray, and her body’s guard, who’s what’s called Sentinel Delilah Vex.
Each sun-rising, a parade of what’s left of Humans of Now, with goods for trade, trample into Bartertown. Them roads with their crackly mud huts and shackle-ram buildings so high, and the people in their shirts an’ shoes of far, far History Back, them scurry like so many bugs to trade, meet, drink, an’ gamble. It is the only not as dangerous place to trade for water or gasoline, but supplies cost a walker an’ a grasper and there’s not a bunch of ‘em. Below the up-side of Bartertown is Underworld, a coverin’ an LP gas vent, an’ a fresh water spring. It were teemed with slaves to keep the stealers from stealing what they have not arightfully given their things for.
With no way for the stealers to steal what’s supplies by force from Bartertown, and li’l scavenged goods in the wasteland to trade with, Humans of Now have begun to side-by-side with stronger Humans to make sure they don’t go with Mr Dead. Two strong humans rise up high above the others, drinkin’ up smaller, weaker tribes or introducin’ the ones who fight them to Mr. Dead like he’s in thems pockets.
The end famous Redemptor Gnarlskull an’ his Other in Commanding, Blasphemous Rexx, a mad dwarf what with ‘is big angry, bigger’n them High-Scrapers!
An’ self pro named Imperator Drillbite, joined with his Other in Commanding, SkidMarx, The Oily Baron. A man who is known in equal parts for his slivery-sly tongue as he is his most meanman nature.
So you got to listen and ‘member, ‘cause what you hears today means the Human’s of Now are bringing Mr. Dead to play, just like the ones of History Back… and only one has got the luck ‘nough to lead his humans away from ‘im.
I’m Chad Noahr aka “Holy Imperator Drillbite.” My command is joined by the legendary Oily Baron himself, Travis Skidmarx Phipps of Team Fox Squad. I come from humble origins, beginning my rise to power on the paintball field at the age of 10. Like everyone, I started out as a Rental Warrior which dreams of grandeur. 7 years ago, this hunger led a few friends and I to found a little team known as B.O.B. White! Since then I’ve been apart of something special. I’ve travelled the county, coast to coast, experiencing new fields, meeting new people, and spreading The Hang. Last year, I led a legion to victory at Living Legends 9, and plan to continue the trend at Wastelands. Join the Imperium and thrive, or be an A-Clown and get wasted by being on the Blacklist!
Hold onto your hats… Time for an introduction. My name is Grant “AclowN” Taylor of Team Black List. I am 35 years young and the bird banger makes me feel like a child every time to this day… I began playing paintball in ’95, but did not discover the wonderful world of Scenario’s until 2001, making this my 16th year as a scenario player. Early on in my scenario career i found home with Team Black List in the fact that they had and shared Values, Honor, and Respectfulness that i strive to be the best example of still to this day… it has been a long lasting good fit for my scenario life. Our reputation out of Texas has preceded us for years, and will for many more. I have grown for these years in the Scenario world where those who know me know my measure as a hard running player, Roleplayer, a master of Shenanigans, and also someone to dread seeing across from them on the field. This game is my first official Viper command but it is far from my first time running the box, coordinating and organizing a battle plan, and fooling and conning people in spectacular roleplay. I bring a lot of experience to the table, but i am always glad to help any and all in any way i can. all of this has been rounded off by simply following for all these years, my team motto, “play hard, Play fair, and have fun…”
Joining me in my venture is my good friend NJ “King Klotz” Patel of Team Archangels. a man that has truly become a great friend in the short time he and i have gotten to know each other these past 2 years. his Vigor on and off the field is truly one that matches my own, the choice to call on him to be my XO was not a hard one to make. Together he and i will devise a battle plan that will not be one to tread lightly towards. To our Allies, I will be forever grateful for all who run for me in my debut command. To our Adversaries….. see you in the middle!
Though time has ravaged everything and everyone, we push on. We collect the history that is forgotten. We scour and we find the mementos that time has all but lost. Our goal is to maintain a sense of law set generations ago, and to build where there is only dust. We are the traders, the junk collectors, and we are the dispatch of the lost word. We are not members of your warring clans. We are of the Clan of Man. We, the Collectors, have come to the Wastelands in search of memories….and the future.

Bartertown: This is where things are bought, sold, and traded. Unruliness is dealt with harshly, making it a great, and safe, place to make a deal and bring scavenged items to trade for things you may need. Lady Cray Cray runs Bartertown, and is a good person to get to know, and a better person on whose “good side” to stay.
The Collectors: These strange people are half-crazed from their time in the poison, radiated Wastes. However, they are adept at monitoring what people do and where they go, as well as what is hidden in the Wastes and where to find it. If you want something they likely know where to get it, making them good people to know. They are also bad people to cross. They seem to enjoy their place in this new world, but it’s rumored they also know where the “big boomies” are that can destroy it.
Bandages: There will be special “bandages” that you can use to heal yourself, and even your squad. These are only valid for paintball hits, on yourself or your equipment, from your collar down. Players may only carry ONE of each type of bandage. These will be available in Bartertown.
Reinforced bunkers: Engineers will be able to create “hardened bunkers.” We have collapsible “safety cones” that will be used for this purpose. Once an Engineer has the referee initial a space on their supply card they can place a cone in front of a wall. If you are using a rocket launcher, and you shoot at that side of that wall, the first impact will only remove the cone. The second impact will do normal damage. The effect does not work for both sides of the wall, only the side that has been “reinforced.”
In the case of a large wall, such as one of the large buildings in town, the reinforcement is only good for a ten-foot section. The reinforcement only affects the side it is applied to. Reinforcement only affects the side it is placed on, and multiple reinforcements may not be used on one side.
Stim shots: Stim shots make you invulnerable to anything but head shots, snipers, demos, grenades, etc. Regular paintball hits to the body will not eliminate you. Now the bad news. They last a limited amount of time and, after it expires, you drop dead. We will explain more during player orientation. Available in Bartertown.
Radiated areas: Some areas may be highly radiated due to fallout storms, random nuke explosions, or other issues. A map will be posted in Bartertown indicating what areas may be radiated at any given time. To survive in one of these areas you will need proper protection. This will be available in, you guessed it….. Bartertown.
Thunderdome: Disagreements will be settled here. More info at orientation.
The Wheel: “Bust a deal…face the wheel.” Try to pull a fast one and you may very well find yourself facing the consequences. More info at orientation.
Harvesting water: Water is a major commodity these days. Unfortunately, while Bartertown sits on a major LP gas deposit, it has no water source on-site. Water can be found in the Wastes, but it is usually poisoned due to chemicals, acid rain, fallout, etc. However, Bartertown has a major filtration system
